Kaiya is one of the most famous people the world has never heard of. Brilliant, lethal, and gifted with a bow, she and her family of persons-for-hire have been at the top of the world's shadow economy for decades.
But Kaiya's days of assassinations, blackmail, and espionage are over, and when she wakes up hungover and confined to a prison cart, the last thing she expects is a job offer. Much less one from the city's sovereign who somehow knows exactly what she is.
The job is simple. Protect Falon: the Queen's favorite bodyguard and a man who doesn't need protecting, which only raises more questions for Kaiya. But Community eyes are everywhere, and when all paths lead back to her master, Kaiya must work fast to unravel the Queen's agenda before the most dangerous man in the world dispatches to hunt her down.
